The 2017-18 District Conference "Together Making a Difference" will be July 27-28, 2018 at the Cornhusker Marriott in Lincoln.
In June, Rotary's Board of Directors and Trustees approved a new vision statement for the organization:
"Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.”
Annual District 5650 Business meeting will be held online May 10th at 6:30 pm. Clubs are asked to submit delegate names to executive@rotarydistrict5650.org by May 9, 2018.
Rotary District 5650 has finalized the Criteria for Certification and scheduled Grants Management Seminars for the 2018-19 Grant cycle.
Some criteria to be qualified to apply has changed. The allowable amounts for grant projects have been changed. Be sure to review all of the information carefully. See the Foundation / Grants page of this website for details.
District Training Assembly is where club officers, committee chairs and emerging leaders can learn more about what Rotary has to offer. We do this by offering different training tracks -- so you can pick and choose which topics you want to learn more about. Stick with one track or get a taste of more than one.

Our district is in the process of developing a strategic plan to address human trafficking in our District. This is in response to a growing awareness of how serious this problem is in Nebraska and around the world. A few of us met recently to discuss developing a strategic plan to combat this scourge. Sharon Wherry is leading a committee to focus our energy as a district and see how best we can assist.
Our district has undertaken the noble goal of planting a tree for every Rotarian member. This means we will be planting approximately 2000 trees before the end of the year.
