Does your family wonder what the heck “this Rotary thing” is about?  Well-­‐here’s
your chance to inform them (and maybe yourself), complete a service project, enjoy the amenities at Mahoney State park, have a couple of great meals and hear some information about our clubs, our District and the larger world of Rotary.
 
This is meant to be a family day!  Please bring them.

    Children 12 and under – FREE
o Registration deadline is Noon - Wed. June 24 
 
 
11:00 AM – Arrival and Registration
o Simply state that you’re with Rotary to get free admission to the park
o Drive to the pavilion to register and receive your information packet,
Mahoney activity passes and free Rotary Koozies 
o Soft drinks and water for your Koozie will be available all day
 
 
Noon – Lunch
o Join us in the pavilion for a picnic style lunch of sandwiches and salads
o Hear an address from RI President’s Rep Mike Colasurdo
 
 
1:00 PM – Service Project(s)
                  o We will be filling and packing 500 backpacks for the KETV/Salvation Army Back To School Program
o If we have sufficient volunteers we will also be able to do some
painting and litter pick-­‐up within the park
 
3:00 PM – Free Time and Activities
                    o All attendees will receive one Mahoney activity ticket during morning check-­‐in
o These will be good for:
   Paddle Boats
   Driving Range
   Miniature Golf
   Swimming Pool
   Kid’s Activity Center (indoors and air conditioned)   
o In addition there will be a kid’s treasure hunt with prizes at stations around the pavilion
o Complimentary wine and beer available the remainder of the day
 
5:00 PM – Dinner
                  o Return to the pavilion to enjoy hamburgers, brats, hot dogs or chicken breast hot off the grill with a great assortment of side dishes
o There might be a few fun surprises
 
6:00 PM – Program
                  o Recognition of both the outgoing and incoming Club Presidents (could be someone might have to walk the plank -­‐   Arrrrrgh)
o A quick review of the past year and a look forward to 2015-­‐16
o Remarks by President’s Rep Mike Colasurdo
o Passing of the District Gavel to incoming DG Rod Bates
Notes:
o You are permitted to bring your own food and refreshments to the park if you wish. The Mahoney staff requests no glass containers.
