It is time again for the District Training Assembly.  This Assembly is for ALL club officers and members who are eager to learn more about Rotary.  The purpose of this Assembly is to prepare incoming club leaders for their year in office and help them build their leadership team.  The meeting is also an opportunity for club leaders to meet with district leaders who will support club projects and activities.  This training seminar will help you learn how to have a strong, successful Rotary club!

Attendees will be able to choose which training sessions they would like to attend.  We will have sessions on Membership Recruitment, Membership Retention, The Rotary Foundation, Public Relations, Social Media, Community Service Projects, Vocational Service Projects, IT Support, Secretary Training and more!  There will also be a Grants Management Seminars available in the afternoon. (The GMS session attendance requires an additional $10.00 fee.)

Club Secretaries - there is NO FEE for you to attend this training!  Your fee was paid in your district dues.  We encourage every secretary to attend the AM SETS session and the afternoon session of your choice.

Our keynote luncheon speaker will be Dr. Jamie Williams.  In 2012, the University of Nebraska beckoned Husker Hall-of-Famer, Dr. Jamie Williams, back to serve within its Athletic Department as Associate Athletic Director of Diversity and Leadership Initiatives. Dr. Williams has served on the NCAA Division I Committee on Academic Performance.  He currently Chairs the NCAA Accelerating Academic Success Program and is scheduled to represent on the NCAA Committee on Sportsmanship and Ethical Conduct in 2015. He also serves as liaison to the Big Ten Advisory Commission.

As Director of Athletics, Dr. Jamie Williams and his small team built a NCAA Division II athletic program at Academy of Art University from the ground up in 2006 – the only art school in the U.S. to compete in the NCAA. He is now a member of the University’s Board of Directors.

A Broadcast Journalism graduate at Nebraska, Dr. Williams earned All-Big Eight and All-American honors in 1981 and 1982.
