The 2017 Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) Seminar will be held April 7-9, 2017 at Camp Kitaki near Louisville NE.

High school juniors and sophomores are eligible to apply. RYLA camp is an intensive 3-day training program for high schoolers that helps participants think critically about important issues and share ideas with talented peers, learn how to coordinate and lead community service projects both locally and globally, discuss the importance of good governance and civil society to the world, business ethics, and finally, learn to think globally and explore issues that transcend national and cultural boundaries.

Ryla allows you to connect with leaders in your community and around the world to:
  • Build communication and problem-solving skills
  • Discover strategies for becoming a dynamic leader in your school or community
  • Learn from community leaders, inspirational speakers, and peer mentors
  • Unlock your potential to turn motivation into action
  • Have fun and form lasting friendships
The RYLA experience prepares young people to be leaders in their community, profession, and other facets of everyday life. For pictures and videos of past RYLA camps visit our Facebook page HERE.

RYLA encourages clubs to nominate students.  Many clubs partner with local high schools to identify potential applicants. This year we have a new online application option available HERE.

Clubs are asked to nominate 2 students (ideally, one male and one female) but more are encouraged.  The cost to clubs is $200 per student.  However, please note that if you have more students than funds please contact RYLA Chair and we will work together to find funds to make sure all of your students are able to attend.
