Another exciting time for our District! In mid-September, I received an email from Rotary International announcing which clubs achieved the Rotary Citation for the 2018-19 Rotary Year.
(Click here to read all about the Rotary Citation, the criteria and report.)

Besides the goals for the Rotary Citation, the clubs met goals to earn the Rotary Citation with Presidential Distinction.

They had to achieve at least one of the following: 1) net gain of 5 or more members, 2) promote that your members are People of Action by promoting service activities at least four times per month and/or 3) initiate a leadership, personal or professional development program to enhance their membership skills and add value to their membership.

It is my pleasure to report that we had four clubs who achieved the Rotary Citation. Wayne met one goal to be awarded the Rotary Citation with Silver Presidential Distinction. Both Omaha West and Omaha Millard met two goals for each club to achieve the Rotary Citation with Gold Presidential Distinction. And with all three goals met, Lincoln South achieved the Rotary Citation with Platinum Presidential Distinction.

Well done and congratulations! It takes conscious effort to meet these goals and I appreciate the efforts that were put into achieving this honor. Each year offers the opportunity to earn the Citation and each year the criteria changes, based on the new Rotary International President. Take a look at the requirements for this year and make it happen!

Again, congratulations!
