From Omaha Suburban Lead Club for District Grant.

Many Rotary clubs in the District have partnered on a District Grant this year to address Human Trafficking in Nebraska and Iowa.  Almost all of the clubs have participated in a program on the issue and have sent volunteers to help train hotels/motels to fight trafficking.   As an additional part of that grant, funds were given to produce educational videos co-branded with Rotary and the Coalition on Human Trafficking.

On Thursday, January 24th the Coalition is planning a celebration of success and recognizing long-time advocate Stephen Patrick O'Meara for his work in the field.  They will also premiere the videos that were partially paid for by the Rotary grant.

Please share this event with your club members and consider attending.  It would be wonderful if you could put it in your newsletters, websites, and Facebook pages. There is no charge for Rotarians and their guests but they would like you to register online so they can know how many people to expect.

Best Regards,
Jennifer Jirak-Brungardt
