The first order of business is to say THANK YOU!

Thank you all for leading us through a challenging and stressful year with grace, confidence, and service! CHEERS!
THANK YOU!
  • To Roxy Orr—you paved a path where no path has ever been. You supported our clubs with every ounce of yourself. We would not be the only District in Region 36 with membership growth without your efforts.
  • To the District Leadership Team and the Area Governors—you were there when the clubs and the district needed insight, support, energy, focus.
  • To the Club Presidents and Club Leadership Teams—you were boots on the ground, pivoting your clubs, engaging your members and ensure you still served your communities. Well done!
Thank you all for leading us through a challenging and stressful year with grace, confidence, and service! CHEERS!
NEXT…Are you signed up for the District Conference on July 24th yet? If not, let me make it easy for you…click here: https://rotarydistrict5650.org/Stories/come-one-come-all-to-our-district-conference-july-24th.
Okay, let’s keep this ball rolling along...
Here is what to expect in the next couple of months:
  • The Area Governor for your Club will be presenting RI President Shekhar Mehta’s vision and theme for this year, the District Action Plan, and my message at a regular Club meeting.
  • You will begin to see a lot more posting on the District Facebook page. Please follow/like our page, repost stuff to your Club’s page and/or your personal page. We will be working to get it set up so that your Public Image Chair and/or President can also post to our District page.
  • Development of a member recruitment website to use with prospective members and the public at large to invite them to investigate joining one of our Clubs.
  • Sharing of the Inclusion best practices for Clubs. Please invite one of Camille Metoyer Moten and Kathryn Schubert’s team to share those as a program for your Club.
  • We will be establishing the Young Leaders Fellowship. A District wide Fellowship for your Club’s younger (and you define that however you wish) members to network, do service, and learn with others across the District. Watch for more info on this.
  • Don’t forget to invite me to your Club. I would love to join in a service project, attend a social, attend a board meeting, facilitate your Club Assembly, or be a program (any topic you wish).
WHEW! We have a lot on our plate. Like my fitness trainer says, time to “get it, get it!”
