The Hands of Rotary! The theme for this year’s District Conference is The Hands of Rotary. We selected it because of the logo for the Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta’s them of a hand holding the world.
I have become rather attached to this theme and what your hands do to serve to change lives.

I am asking all the clubs to capture pictures of your hands doing good in our communities and send them to me (dgcarol5650@gmail.com). I am looking for action shots (not handing off checks). I will assemble these pictures into a video with the background music of our Conference theme song, My Own Two Hands by Jack Johnson and Ben Harper. Here is a YouTube video of the song. I believe you will appreciate the words as it is very much who we are and what we do as Rotarians.

Oh, and the Rotary band is playing it at Full Fledged Brewery on the Thursday night of the conference! You cannot miss this! Come sing along (or just watch).

We will have a ton more stuff to share with you about the conference. Watch for video snippets on our District Facebook page.

Spiral Up!
