May is Youth Service Month when Rotary Clubs around the world focus on youth services: Rotaract, Interact, RYLA, Youth Exchange.This seems fitting because for a lot of the families of Rotary, May also means graduation and matriculation.
My family is no different! My daughter Annabeth, whom many of you know, will be graduating from Lincoln East High School this month.
I want you all to know she is not suffering from senioritis. Instead, she is working hard to leave a legacy behind. This semester, Annabeth, along with her sister Isabelle and their friends, started a brand new Interact Club! This is the direct result of attending RYLA and the influence of the many Rotarians they have met over the last few years
A big THANK YOU to Lincoln South Rotary and Clay Ehlers for sponsoring this new group of young people! This new Interact Club is sponsoring their very first service project this month. They are holding a Book Drive to collect new and gently used books for the Lincoln Public Libraries!
