Thank you to all the Rotarians and guests that attended the District Conference! The excitement and enthusiasm you shared made the Fall Conference an amazing experience for all!
During the two-day conference, we heard from inspirational speakers like Dr. Lawrence Chatters, Nebraska Senator Tom Brewer and Ahman Green. We learned about what Children’s Nebraska is doing to address the mental health needs of our youth from Chanda Chacon. We also received updates on Rotary International from Frank Goldberg and on End Polio Now from Bob Taylor. We rounded out the content talking about Rotary’s impact on our youth by discussing Rotary Youth Exchange and the World Affairs Seminar as well as hearing from Mark Scott about Rotary’s partnership with local refugee children.

In addition to all the inspirational and educational speakers, we recognized Dr. Klaus Hartmann with the Cadwallader Award and Bill Harvey with the Meritorious Service Award. We also recognized 37 Golden Wheel Awardees for their contribution to their communities throughout our District. We were also honored with the presence of Eric and Sandra Liu who represented RIP Gordon McInally at our Conference.
And if that wasn’t enough, we cannot forget the Rotary Rocks!! Celebration Friday night! Thank you to all the PHB Band members for donating your time and talent so that the rest of us could dance the night away!!
Again, I would like to thank everyone who attended and everyone who had a hand in planning and executing the Fall Conference! It was a wonderful celebration of Rotary and I am happy we had over 300 Rotarians in attendance!
