It could be as simple as planting a tree. Another idea is to plan a campaign to encourage people in your city to recycle paper, glass, metal and plastic. Or you could invite someone from the UNL College of Agriculture to address your club about regenerative agriculture.
Rotary has seven major causes that focus our efforts locally, regionally and internationally. We are committed to supporting activities that strengthen the conservation and protection of natural resources, advance ecological sustainability, and foster harmony between communities and the environment. We empower communities to access grants and other resources, embrace local solutions, and spur innovation in an effort to address the causes and reduce the effects of climate change and environmental degradation.

Whether it’s in July, August or next Spring, plan a program, organize an event, share with your community what we’re doing for the environment.

And, if you’d like to plant some trees, work with the Arbor Day Foundation headquartered right here in our District. https://www.arborday.org/trees/index-planting.cfm
