We have eight open camper spots out of 50 for May 7-8, 2021 RYLA at Camp Fontanelle in Nickerson, NE.
If you plan to recruit students for camp and have not reserved space for them, please do so now. The reservation form is on the district website.
All promo and recruiting materials are up to date on the website. The deadline for completed /updated applications from your selected students is March 1, 2021. That includes the at-large students you agreed to sponsor and all roll-over students. All applications must be updated for this specific camp.
If you want support recruiting your students, contact RYLA Chair Lori Benton. There is an updated school counselor list to be shared. Please also consider recruiting from mentoring organizations, Boys/Girls Clubs, YMCA, Special Olympics, and the like for a diverse student group.
Two co-chairs are needed to help organize and lead this year’s camp. This is important as Lori Benton will step down from leadership at the end of June. One Co-chair will ascend to Chair for 2021-22 and the other will follow in 2022-2023. Engaging now is valuable training. Again, contact Lori for more info.
Camp online is being considered and, if needed, will be ready to roll on Saturday only of that weekend. More to come.
