Omaha Morning Rotary Club selects a non-profit organization to support for a 3-year period. The organization is selected by the Club Members. The current recipient is Heart Heroes at Omaha Children's Hospital.
With the Hug a Hero program, for every $100 donated, a bear is given to a child previously identified with Congenital Heart Disease. The bear's cape is branded with the Omaha Morning Rotary Club logo.Omaha Morning Rotary Club presented a "big check" for $20,000 to Heart Heroes representing their donation to the program.
