We had a successful PELS event at ESU #3.  We had the highest attendance of clubs represented with over 70% of clubs participating. RI Director Elect Tom Gump posted the following on Facebook about the event.  (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CNjyfStse/).

Rotary District 5650/Omaha, Nebraska’s Presidents-elect Learning Seminar is a wrap! Congratulations to Convener District Governor Elect Gretchen Bren and her team for organizing and implementing an inspiring learning session. Presidents-elect, President Nominees, Assistant Governors, and Past District Governors gathered to set goals, create road maps to reach those goals (which they pledged to review regularly and make changes to when necessary) so they can in Rotary International President-elect Yinka Babalola’s words “Be better than their best!” They will be bold in their leadership making changes in their clubs now to #CreateLastingImpact in the future!

Governor Gretchen shared #Rotary’s 2030 Membership Goals; and together, we discussed how to reach them. I facilitated two learning sessions: 1) “Attracting New Members;” and 2) “Engaging Club Members.” There was a lot of knowledge in the room! In the first session, among others topics, we discussed what #rotaryinternational President Nominee Larry Lunsford refers to as “intentionality,” and the value Rotary delivers to its members. In the second session, we discussed the importance of engagement and the best ways to achieve it, how retaining members is easier than recruiting members, ways to create club flexibility, giving members an opportunity to speak up, and the power of recognizing members for their efforts!
These #Rotarians are ready to lead! Together, we learn leadership skills!
