We are excited for the opportunity to again have Rotary Youth Exchange now that travel restrictions due to COVID-19 have eased.
District 5650 Rotary Youth Exchange will be exchanging 4 Nebraska students with other countries this coming year and hosting 4 in return. Our outgoing exchange students will be:
1.      Shannon McKay from Elkhorn South sponsored by Omaha Suburban, headed to South Korea
2.      Carter Furstenau from Freeman High School in Adams sponsored by Lincoln #14, headed to Sweden
3.      Lexi Hind from Lincoln High sponsored by Lincoln #14, headed to Germany
4.      Eme Troy from Lincoln East sponsored by Lincoln #14, headed to Spain

We already have confirmed applications from 3 of the 4 Inbound students (we hope to have our South Korean student confirmed in the next few weeks)
1.      Jesse, 16 year old male from Oldenburg, Germany attending Lincoln High
2.      Elli, 17 year old female from Kvistna, Sweden attending Wilber-Clatonia
3.      Dario, 16 year old male from Alicante, Spain attending Lincoln East

Traditionally the students stay with 3 different families while they are here. The first host families are in place but there are opportunities for 2nd and 3rd host families.

The students will arrive in early August. The move to the 2nd family is typically during Christmas break or shortly after the first of the year.
