The 4 students District 5650 is sponsoring for exchanges this year have confirmed exchanges to their respective countries.
Lexi Hind from Lincoln High is headed to Germany, Eme Troy from Lincoln East High is headed to Spain, Carter Furstenau from Hickman/Freeman High School is headed to Sweden and Shannon McKay from Omaha/Elkhorn South is headed to South Korea.
District Youth Exchange Officer Bob Rauner and former exchange student Zach Manahan, who our district sponsored to Sapporo, Japan seven years ago, will be taking all 4 to the South Central Rotary Youth Exchange Outbound Orientation camp in Tulsa Oklahoma June 22 to 26.
In return we have now confirmed our incoming students:
- Jesse Teebken from Oldenburg, Germany will be attending Lincoln High School in Lincoln
- Dario Gomis Asencio from Alicante, Spain will be attending Lincoln East High School in Lincoln
- Hayoung Park from Gunpo-si, South Korea will be attending DC West High School in Valley, Nebraska
- Elli Bengtsson from Knivsta, Sweden will be attending Wilber-Clatonia High School in Wilber, Nebraska
