The outgoing Rotary Youth Exchange students from Nebraska attended their Outbound orientation camp in Tulsa, Oklahoma from June 22-26. All 6 are pictured as well as District YEO Bob Rauner (Lincoln #14) from 5650, Lisa Jorgenson from 5630/Gothenburg, and former 5650 exchange student Zach Manahan (Rotex Japan 2014/2015).
The first of our students, Lexi Hind from Lincoln High School sponsored by Lincoln #14 has already departed for Germany. In the coming weeks, our other 3 students will be departing for the respective countries as well:
- Carter Furstenau from Freeman High School in Adams, Nebraska and sponsored by Lincoln #14 is going to Sweden
- Eme Troy from Lincoln East High School and sponsored by Lincoln #14 is going to Spain
- Shannon McKay from Elkhorn South and sponsored by Omaha Suburban is going to South Korea
In the next couple of weeks we will be bringing in:
- Elli Bengtsson from Knivska, Sweden will be attending Wilber Clatonia High School and is sponsored by Lincoln #14
- Jessie Teebken from Oldenburg, Germany will be attending Lincoln High School and is sponsored by Lincoln #14
- Dario Gomis Asencio from Alicante, Spain will be attending Lincoln East High School and is sponsored by Lincoln #14
- Hayoung Park from Gunpo, South Korea will be attending DC West High School in Valley, Nebraska and is sponsored by Omaha Suburban
