Our Rotary Youth Exchange Students are about 3 months into their exchanges when they often report having their first dream in the language of their host country.
Yama Njie, student from Omaha Westside who is currently in Akita, Japan talked about this in her monthly report as she adjusts to her new community. To the left is a picture of her with her soccer team.As Rotarians, we focus on exposing our inbound students to our culture, and it’s hard to beat a Husker football game at Memorial Stadium! Pictured above are Emma from Spain and Sasha from Ukraine who are attending Lincoln High and hosted by Lincoln #14.
If you know a local student in your community who would be interested in going out on exchange, please contact me.
