Believe it or not, July will be here before we know it – yes, the snow will melt and the green grass will return! Below you will find some information about our District Conference coming up on July 26th and 27th. It will be held at the Lied Lodge and Conference Center in Nebraska City.
Attention: This is NOT your Grandpa’s conference!
As you know, our Rotary theme this year is “Be the Inspiration” and my focus as District Governor has been including our families in Rotary – so, our conference theme is “Shape The Future”.
This will be a fresh and exciting weekend with inspirational, informative speakers and family events. Yes, that’s right, bring your family!
Our Nebraska City Rotarians are working hard to put together deals and discounts for the many, many family activities that are available in their community. So, consider coming a few days early or staying a few days longer.
During the conference, we will have a service project for all conference attendees and their families to be a part of – Service Above Self.
Our Rotary International President will be sending a representative on his behalf to speak to us about where Rotary is going and what we have accomplished so far – which is A LOT of good works throughout the world and right here at home. This representative will also help us embrace next years theme which is: Rotary Connects the World. We have been, and will continue to, Be the Inspiration as we learn how Rotary Connects the World.
Blocks of hotel rooms for the conference have been booked and the links to those are below (see separate article).
Conference registration is open (click here) and discounted to $100 through March 31. After that, the registration fee will be $140.
Many more details are being worked out and will be released as they are finalized.
I’m very excited about this conference and look forward to seeing many of you there!
