I'm not sure I'm quite ready to stop talking about Fusion 5650! After months of planning, it was wonderful to see it all come together October 23–24 at the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum. We promised an opportunity to Connect. Learn. Celebrate., and District 5650 certainly delivered.
But my favorite part wasn't any one speaker, session or activity. It was looking around the room and seeing Rotarians from across our District talking, laughing, learning and enjoying being together. That's what I hoped Fusion would be, and you are the ones who made it happen.

We connected with friends old and new, learned from an incredible group of speakers and presenters, and celebrated the people and programs that make Rotary special. From membership, visioning and leadership to The Rotary Foundation, Youth Exchange, RYLA and Rotaract, there was plenty to take back to our clubs. We celebrated 40 Years of Women in Rotary, learned about the Rotary Flight to End Polio, enjoyed Paul Harris and the Fellows, and even got a little exercise during Saturday's World's Largest Polio Walk.
Celebrating Our Rotarians
One of the highlights of Saturday evening was presenting Bill Harvey with the Cadwallader Award, recognizing his service and contributions to Rotary.
Immediate Past District Governor Robert Rapp also presented several special awards. The Rotary Means Business Award went to James Mackiewicz, Jennifer Jirak-Brungardt and Angela Chaney, and the PeaceBuilder Award was presented to Carol Horner.
Be sure to visit the District website to see all of our 2026 award recipients.

Most of All, Thank You
Thank you to our speakers, presenters, sponsors, volunteers, committee members and everyone who attended. You brought the energy, ideas, laughter and fellowship that made the weekend work.
Fusion 5650 reminded me once again why I'm so proud to be your District Governor. We connected. We learned. We celebrated. And when District 5650 comes together, good things happen.
