Hello Fellow Rotarians! Tick tock, tick tock! I hear the clock on the wall telling me that we have just over 3 weeks before the launch of the next Rotary year!  I want to share what it is you can hold the district leadership accountable to for the 2021-22 Rotary year.
We are taking a three-pronged, district-wide approach in pursuit of RI President-Elect Shekhar Mehta’s initiative to “grow more, do more.” We do this so that we may be in the best position to truly “Serve to Change Lives!” All of this is in support of the Rotary International Action Plan’s 4 priorities, you can find more about that here: https://my.rotary.org/en/learning-reference/about-rotary/action-plan
  1. Inclusion Imperative Committee
    1. Recruit diverse members to our clubs—we will do this by marketing directly to areas and organizations and inviting them to engage in Rotary
    2. Help clubs build an inclusive environment—we will do this through educational opportunities and a list of best practices clubs can adopt
    3. Grow this committee’s leadership for sustainability and succession planning
  2. Young Leaders Fellowship Committee
    1. Recruit and connect young leaders from around the communities in our district to not only join the club in their area but to engage in a district-wide fellowship where they can network, do service projects, and receive professional development opportunities
    2. Grow this committee’s leadership for sustainability and succession planning
  3. Public Image Campaign (thank you for the approval of the funding for this initiative)
    1. Develop digital assets for individual clubs and the district to use in social media and digital marketing
    2. Directly target potential members in social media efforts
    3. Increase engagement on our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn) for both clubs and the district
    4. Explore additional options
    5. Grow this committee’s leadership for sustainability and succession planning
If we grow more (our district membership goal is to be at 2000 on July 1, 2022) we can do more (our district foundation goals are $220K and Polio Plus goal is $50K).

Like my fitness trainer tells me, “get it, get it!” Let’s GO!
