Have you made your contribution to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund? The Annual Fund of the Rotary International Foundation (RIF) is the engine that drives all the great work we do as Rotarians.
Your donations to the Annual Fund are invested by the Foundation for 3 years and are then divided 50% to the Rotary World Fund and 50% comes back to our District in District Designated Funds (DDF). Our District uses the DDF we receive back from the RIF for our clubs to provide matching funds for grants in your communities, support Polio eradication, match your club’s contributions to global grant projects and provide scholarships for the global scholar’s program.
The World Fund matches our DDF contributions for global grant projects, provides funding for Vocational training teams (professional vocational exchanges), and provides full scholarships to students around the world attending one of seven universities around the world in the Rotary Peace Scholars program.
Part of being a Rotarian is supporting our Foundation. It is each of our responsibilities to give to the Foundation so we can continue to do the great work we do.
Over the past 5 years our District has given over $200,000 annually to the annual fund and has received $100,000 back in DDF for our use. We are currently at $157,000 in giving for this year, so we need your help in reaching that goal.
If you have not made your contribution to the annual fund this year, please do so before June 30, 2025. If you have, I want to say thank you! on behalf of the Rotary Foundation and our leadership team.
Yours in Rotary,
Mick McKinley
