The 2022-23 Rotary year is in the books and it was a very good year. Congratulations are in order and the first one to thank is you! Without your contributions we would not have raised $319,450 for the Rotary Foundation.

Here’s the breakdown of our contributions:
$208,660 /  $119.10 per capita / 120.4% of goal - Annual Fund (Share)
$91,740 / 163.6% of goal - Polio Plus
$18,301 - Other funds
$750 - Endowment Fund
$319,450 - Total Foundation giving

Special recognition should go out to PDG Barbara Bartle for all her support and encouragement throughout the year and to Gretchen and Gary Bren for knocking it out of the ballpark with Polio donations. Thanks to everyone who helped make 2022-23 a good year for the District and the Rotary Foundation.

On to the 2023-24 Rotary Year. We are already 1 month into the new year and DG Kathryn is hard at work making visits and presenting her goals.

Has your club set its goals for the Annual Fund (Share) and Polio Plus? Have you thought about other Foundation goals such as EREY, Sustaining Club, Endowment giving, number of PHF’s and Paul Harris Society members? I am encouraging every club President to set goals for each of these categories, it will go a long way towards reaching your overall Foundation goals.

Thank you again for all your gifts to the Foundation last year. It has been a honor to serve as your District Rotary Foundation Chair this past year and I look forward to working with each of you to reach our goals this year. If you have any questions or if I can be of any service regarding the Foundation, please reach out to me.

Mick McKinley, District Foundation Chair
