Hello everyone, I’m PDG Mick McKinley and I have the privilege of being your District Rotary Foundation chair again for the 2024-25 Rotary year. I thought I would bring you up to date on where we stand as a District in giving to the Foundation’s annual fund.
The District currently has 85% of it’s clubs who have submitted their goals for giving to the Foundation. The combined goal for this year is $165,450 and I’m pleased to let you know that for the first 2 ½ months of this year we are at $38,066 or 23% of goal. So, we are right on target.
November is Rotary Foundation month and I’m hoping that all Rotarians in the District will consider making a contribution to the Rotary annual fund as we strive to raise money to provide for district and global grants within our District. If every member of your club would make a of at least $25, your club can earn the “EREY” (every Rotarian every year) designation from Rotary International. If each member of your club contributes at least $100 to the annual fund your club can receive the “Sustaining Club” designation which can really help you club reach its goals.
As a special incentive to our members during Governor Tom Kerfoot’s District Conference on October 18th and 19th the District will give you matching points for all contributions you make to the annual fund during the conference. What does this mean for you? If you contribute $500 to the Rotary Foundation annual fund, the District will match your contribution with 500 points which would give you a Paul Harris Fellowship! So please consider attending the conference and get your contributions matched.

Our Foundation is the engine that makes everything we do as Rotarians work, making a difference in our communities and around the world.
