The District Annual Meeting will be held on May 12th at 7pm via Zoom for delegates. Others can see it on Facebook Live - https://www.facebook.com/RotaryDistrict5650. It is at this meeting that delegates from each club (based on club size—1 per 25 members) approve the 2022-23 budget, confirm DGE and DGN, and select at large District Board members.
Each Club was given the opportunity to select, certify, and send to the Annual Meeting at least one elector. Any Club with a membership of more than 25 Rotarians will be entitled to one additional elector for each additional 25, or major fraction (more than half) thereof, of its members. The membership of each Club will be determined as of July 1 of the Rotary Year. Deadline for that information has now passed.
The voting delegates are voting on behalf of the club. The items to be presented (and up for vote) during the annual meeting have been sent to the Club Officers. The Club Board can review the items and provide the delegates with your club's voting direction.
The delegates received an email asking them to register for the actual Zoom event for the Annual Meeting. They will then receive a confirmation that they will use to logon to the meeting on May 12. These confirmations are personal to the delegate. They will identify the delegate so that we can correctly track the votes - one per delegate and also get the total votes for the club. The confirmations cannot be shared - they are personal to the delegate.
