If you regularly visit the Members Only area of the District 5650 website, get ready for a new look!
District 5650 will soon be upgrading to ClubRunner Nova, ClubRunner's next-generation platform for clubs and districts. The good news is that our public-facing District website will remain the same (but changes are coming!). For now, the big changes will happen behind the scenes, in the Members Only area where many of us manage member information, access District resources, communicate with members, and handle other Rotary business.
You can learn more and preview the new platform on ClubRunner's Welcome to Nova page or keep reading for more information.
Nova introduces a fresh, modern interface designed to make ClubRunner easier to navigate and more useful on mobile devices. The new navigation will also be personalized, displaying the features and links each user has access to rather than cluttering the screen with options that don't apply to them. A new global search will make it easier to find membership records, events, and other information.
There are some significant improvements under the hood, too. Nova brings member, contact, prospect, and other user records together into one unified database. Member profiles have also been expanded so information such as communication history, financial records, and notes can be accessed from the individual's profile.
Communication tools are getting an upgrade as well, including a new Email Designer and new Smart Lists, which replace traditional email distribution lists with more flexible, dynamic ways to communicate with groups of members. Nova also introduces Groups, a private collaboration area where District committees and boards can share files, schedule events, and work together.
And those are just some of the changes. ClubRunner has also redesigned its reporting dashboard and financial tools, and added improvements to events and the image library. Feature availability can vary depending on the ClubRunner subscription level, so not every feature ClubRunner describes will necessarily be available in every ClubRunner environment.
What does all of this mean for you?
Mostly, it means that the next time you click Members Only, things may look a little different. Don't panic! Your District website isn't disappearing, and you're still in the right place. We're simply moving to a newer, more modern ClubRunner experience.
We'll share more information as we make the transition and help everyone get comfortable with our new backstage area.
New look. Better tools. Same District 5650.

Clubs are able to upgrade their website to MemberNova as well. We'll annouce training on this coming in December.
