Stories of Interest to Rotarians
Rotary celebrates 120 years!

I heard a story at my club meeting  this week about Paul Harris and the origins of Rotary. Paul Harris received his law degree from the University of Iowa in 1891 and later moved to Chicago to open his law practice in 1896. Paul felt that there were many, like him, that had come to Chicago from farms and small villages to establish themselves in this great city.
I hope everyone had a nice January!  I will  be attending the International Assembly in Orlando, FL February 9-13th, along with 515 other District Governor-elects from around the world along with our incoming 2025-26 Rotary International President-elect, Mário César Martins de Camargo from Brazil!  Looking forward to representing Rotary District 5650 as your incoming District Governor and bringing back his message to you!
Robert Rapp of the Omaha Morning Rotary Club is Governor for 2025-26 for Rotary District 5650. His term begins July 1, 2025.

Rotary Councils give us a voice in how our organization is governed. Each Rotary district chooses a representative for a three-year term to represent the district at all three meetings of the Council on Resolutions and at the Council on Legislation during their term.
