Stories of Interest to Rotarians
Well, the 2019-20 Rotary Year is off to a great and busy start! Thank you to the Shenandoah, Omaha Morning, Council Bluffs Centennial, Columbus Morning, Pawnee City, Columbus Noon and my own Council Bluffs Noon club, for their warm reception and great discussions during my first 7 club visits. I’m learning a lot and I can tell you we have a lot of great things going on in the District.
The Beatrice Rotary Club recently celebrated their 100 Anniversary with special guest speaker Scott Frost.  It has been an honor to serve our community for the past 100 years. ~ ~ Craig Zarybnicky, Past President Beatrice Rotary Club
District Governor 2019-20 Mick McKinley shared the District Goals during training events in the Spring. These goals align with the Mission and Strategic Plan of Rotary International and the focus of the Rotary Citation.

Help Rotary Help Your Club!

Knowing our current Rotary Membership helps us in the future. Using current demographics we can analyze and project the make up of our Club membership and therefore the state of Rotary International.
Have you tried the ClubRunner App on your phone?

Access it using the same logon as on the District website. There is a section for your Club and a section for the District where you can find information about Clubs in the District and even search the members.
Clubs in Rotary District 5650 are asked to share information about events if those events are open to everyone (such as fundraisers) or will impact district leadership (such as District Governor). Event information can be posted to the District Calendar and the District Website.
The District Directory information is available online to ALL ROTARIANS in Rotary District 5650. Select My District Rotary then District Directory. You will be required to logon* to view the directory.

Note: The use of the Rotary District 5650 Directory is for official Rotary District 5650 business only.

Rotary International (RI) has instituted this communication policy:  in most cases “whenever RI sends something to one officer, it will go to all officers”.

The Officers "as identified by Rotary International" include: President, Secretary, Treasurer, Foundation Chair, Membership Chair, and Club Executive Secretary/Director (if applicable).  The members holding these positions must be identified (and authorized) by someone that is currently an officer.  It is suggested that the President or Secretary review the information at Rotary.org regularly to ensure the the members are identified for those positions.
