Governor Roxy's February Message

Our Rotary year has passed its half-way point and our DGE Carol Horner is busily getting her goals set and her team assembled and trained for the next term.

But wait!!!! There is still a lot of this Rotary year remaining to create opportunities…in growing our clubs…creating new clubs…raising funds for polio…finding new fundraising ideas for TRF…and having fun!

We Need You!!!

District 5650 is taking nominations for District Governor for the 2023-2024 Rotary year. Clubs can nominate a member of their club who is in good standing and has served as President of their club.

Pre-season Training Is Underway!

Like in many sports, Rotary has a pre-season. For us it begins in mid-January and runs through March. Our pre-season is designed to prepare us leaders for the upcoming Rotary year that begins July 1^st. Here is how it breaks down for this pre-season:

RYLA Major Change

RYLA will now be held online beginning on May 1, Saturday mornings (8/9am – noon) through June 12. We are collaborating with the North New Jersey Rotatractors who created RYLA University (RU). Feel free to check out the course at www.ryaluniversity.com.

Nominations Due March 15 - Excellence in Service to Humanity Award

Rotary Clubs are doing amazing things, often with the help of non-Rotarians. Here is your opportunity to nominate a non-Rotarian who demonstrates consistent support of the ideals of Rotary - the Rotary International Excellence in Service to Humanity award.

Global Grant Supports Hospital Beds

Rand Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Bahamas was already experiencing patient capacity issues due to aging beds and failing medical equipment before it was heavily damaged by Hurricane Dorian in 2019, when its remaining hospital beds and most of its medical equipment was destroyed.
