Rotarians: This is my last newsletter article. It is crazy to think how fast this year went by. As my term ends, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey I have been able to share with you all over this past year. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve our communities alongside so many dedicated, compassionate Rotarians.

I want to thank all the clubs who sent delegates to attend the virtual District 5650 Annual Meeting on May 8th. Thank you, as well, to the delegates for taking the time to represent your clubs in the district and vote to ratify and approve our future district leadership and our budget and taking that information back to your clubs. Here is a recap of the meeting:
Most Rotarians don’t know who decides the rules that govern Rotary International, our Zones, Districts, and Clubs. We are all defined and governed by a Constitution and Bylaws. Things like Rotary International dues, attendance requirements, Club and District officers and many more things are governed by the those organizing documents.
The Rotary District 5650 and 5630 youth exchange committees have been collaborating on youth exchange for more than 10 years as we exchange Nebraska students to countries around the world and host students in return.
The U.S. Rotary Club & District Liability Insurance Program (U.S. Club Program) provides all U.S. Rotary clubs, districts, and Rotaract clubs with commercial general liability and directors & officers/employment practices liability insurance, subject to policy terms and conditions.
Our next membership billing from Rotary.org for Rotary Clubs will be in July, 2025. Using RI Integration, Rotary Clubs in Rotary District 5650 manage member information locally (not at Rotary.org) and changes will "roll up" to Rotary International.
Rotary Club Central is used to set, and track, goals. Many items are self-tracked while others are tracked by Rotary International based on information that they have recorded.
RYLA 2025 will be September 26-28, 2025, at Camp Calvin Crest in Fremont! District 5650 is once again partnering with Launch Leadership to present RYLA - Powered by Launch!

The 2025-26 Rotary District 5650 Fall Conference will be held October 17-18, 2025 (Friday/Saturday) at the Scott Conference Center, 5450 Pine Street, Omaha, NE 68106. The District Conference will be centered around next year's 2025-26 Rotary Presidential message "Unite For Good".
Rotary has created a calendar that includes a monthly focus. This provides a guide for Clubs to use to help members understand the programs of Rotary and the Areas of Focus for our causes.
The home page is designed to provide information about Rotary that is good for, not only Rotarians, but also the public. The links will take you to My District Home which includes stories primarily written for Rotarians.
