Well, the 2019-20 Rotary Year is off to a great and busy start! Thank you to the Shenandoah, Omaha Morning, Council Bluffs Centennial, Columbus Morning, Pawnee City, Columbus Noon and my own Council Bluffs Noon club, for their warm reception and great discussions during my first 7 club visits. I’m learning a lot and I can tell you we have a lot of great things going on in the District.

Rotary District 5650 is seeking nominations to the District Board of Directors to serve a one-year term for the 2019-20 Rotary Year. Send your nominations to exec@rotarydistrict5650.org by August 15, 2019.

The Rotary Foundation continually reviews their focus and programs and recently made changes in the Areas of Focus for projects.

Rotary International Dues are billed semi-annually. Statements were sent from Rotary International by email recently and are payable upon receipt.

Join Rotary President Mark Maloney at the 111th Rotary International Convention in Honolulu, Hawaii, 6-10 June 2020. You’ll experience the heart of Hawaii in Honolulu – the state’s largest and most diverse city which has something for everyone.

The Memorial Service on July 27, 2019 at the District Conference gave tribute to 21 Rotarians who passed this last Rotary Year.

 

Rotary District 5650 nominated individuals for International Level Awards. We are proud that two of our nominees were selected this year for these highly competitive awards. They are Dan Rose, for the Service Above Self Award and Nancy Herdman for the Excellence in Service to Humanity Award.
