Inform. Inspire. Imagine. This was the purpose for a two-week tour to elevate Rotary in Districts 5630 and 5650. Rotary International President Jennifer Jones modelled the tour with her Imagine Rotary Global Tour and encouraged Districts to plan one too.

Did you know that we . . . you and I . . . are changing lives all over the world? That’s right, we’ve helped rebuild homes destroyed by hurricanes, we’ve given some remote people solar powered lights so they can see at night, we’ve helped give people in Zambia clean drinking water, we’re giving Polio vaccinations to youngsters on the other side of the world and we (you and I) even have a seat at the United Nations.
Since 2003 Lincoln Rotary District 5650 has collaborated with The Livingstone Rotary Club in Southern Province Zambia and the Rotary Foundation to improve the lives of villagers in Zambia through the Zambia-Lincoln Nutrition Project. The project works with local partners to end child malnutrition through peer nutrition coaching, agricultural innovation, and access to clean water.

The pre-qualifications for DG are that you are a current member of the district in good standing, a past club president, and have been in Rotary for 7 years. Applications are to be submitted by the Rotarian's Club. No self-nominations are accepted.
Our next membership billing from Rotary.org will be in January, 2023. Using RI Integration, clubs in Rotary District 5650 manage member information locally (not at Rotray.org) and changes will "roll up" to Rotary International.
Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) events are conducted around the world and participants can attend in any location to start, continue or complete the 3-part series.

The proclamation outlines the good work of Rotary, the history of our successes in working to eradicate polio, and urges all to support vaccinations as we continue to work to eradicate polio.

When COVID first hit, the District established a grant to help offset the costs of using Zoom. We will be extending that grant through the 2022-2023 Rotary year.
The 2023 Rotary International Convention will be in Melbourne May 27-31, 2023. Early Registration Discount of $475 per member is available through December 15, 2022
Rotary International has requested that the Club President and all other Club Officers and Executives for each Rotary Year get established by 12-31. Many clubs start the Nomination and Election Process late in September or early in October.
