I want to send a heartfelt thank you to all the Rotarians and guests that attended the Fusion 5650 District Conference! It was inspiring to see all of the passionate Rotarians and guests come together to share ideas and experience to celebrate the Magic of Rotary. The excitement and enthusiasm you shared made the Fusion 5650 Conference an amazing experience for all!
The next session of the Rotary Leadership Institute is scheduled for November 9, but we are in danger of having to cancel. If you are interested in attending, please sign up today. We need to have at least 6 people to hold an RLI Session. So far, we have 5 people for Part 3 and 1 person for Part 2 and 1 for Part 1. We need you to register by November 5th to decide which sessions will be held.
The Istanbul Rotary Club announces an Essay Competition in celebration of the launch of “Otto & Fran Walter Rotary Peace Center” at Bahçeşehir University and Presidential Peace Conference 2025 of Rotary International in Istanbul. The purpose is to foster thoughtful discourse and critical thinking among young persons across the globe - share ideas, perspectives, and solutions related to international peace. And, cash prizes are offered!
Every year Clubs nominate Rotarians for the Cadwallader Award which is presented during the District Conference. This year the recipients were Blake and Kathy Collingsworth of Lincoln Giving Spirits Evening Rotary CLub. The Rotary Citation is the most important award for Rotary Clubs! There were 18 clubs in Rotary District 5650 that met the goals to earn the Rotary Citation in the 2023-24 Rotary Year.
Thank you to all the Clubs who worked so hard this year to make an impact in our community and in our world! Remember, the more helping hands we have (members), the more resources we have (donations) the more communities get served!!
November is Foundation month! This is the month Rotary emphasizes giving to the Rotary Foundation Annual fund. We all have places we choose to donate to, so why should we contribute to the Foundation Annual Fund?

District Grant Project Progress Reports for all 2024-25 District Grant Projects are due by 12-31. The purpose of that report is to check progress, find out if your project is "on track" and discuss any issues you have encountered that may be blocking progress.

Rotary International has requested that the Club President and all other Club Officers and Executives for each Rotary Year get established by 12-31. Many clubs start the Nomination and Election Process late in September or early in October.
Also, training for the 2025-26 Club Leadership starts in February/March so it is important to have the positions filled before then.
