The Hands of Rotary! The theme for this year’s District Conference is The Hands of Rotary. We selected it because of the logo for the Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta’s them of a hand holding the world.
In response to the deepening humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, The Rotary Foundation has created an official channel for Rotary members around the world to contribute funds to support the relief efforts underway by Rotary districts and has designated its Disaster Response Fund as the main avenue for contributions.
President-elect training is designed to assist Rotary District 5650 Presidents-elect, Presidents-nominee and Assistant Governors as they prepare for the upcoming Rotary Year(s). There is no event registration fee for those participants.
If you hadn't heard the news, there is a new wild polio case that has been detected in Malawi. The case was reported this week, but happened last November. This is the first wild polio case on the continent of Africa since 2016.
The District Annual Meeting will be held on May 12th at 7pm via Zoom. It is at this meeting that delegates from each club (based on club size—1 per 25 members) approve the 2022-23 budget, confirm DGE and DGN, and select at large District Board members.
