Around the world they’ve inoculated millions against Polio, they’ve built schools, they’ve installed water purifying facilities. Between September 26 and October 7 Rotarians in nearly 70 communities across Western Iowa and all of Nebraska are celebrating their contribution to the communities where they live, the help they’ve given to so many in other parts of the world and they’re reaching out to leaders of their cities, their businesses, their schools to ask what more can they do.

World Polio Day is coming up on October 24 – what is your club going to be doing?

The focus of October is on economic and community development. For more than 100 years, Rotary has united leaders who are committed to using their expertise to take action and improve their communities. Awareness of Rotary is high. But public understanding of who we are, what we do, and the value we bring to communities is concerningly low.

 

The Rotary District 5650 Anti Human Trafficking Fellowship held a meeting on September 24, 2022 via zoom.

Rotary Clubs are reminded of the IRS' annual filing requirement. Club officers may receive an email from Rotary International with additional information. Last year we received these documents - Letter from Rotary, IRS Guidelines.

The Member Profile Screen on ClubRunner (Club or District Website), Rotary Tab, includes a field for Sponsor. Enter the sponsor name first name then last name. 

Rotary International finished the calculations and officially announced the clubs that attained the 2021-22 Rotary Citation. Congratulations to the 8 clubs that earned the Rotary Citation for 2021-22.

When COVID first hit, the District established a grant to help offset the costs of using Zoom.   We will be extending that grant through the 2022-2023 Rotary year. 

The 2023 Rotary International Convention will be in Melbourne May 27-31, 2023. Early Registration Discount of $475 per member is available through December 15, 2022
